Aquila
Sports Cars launched its top of the range Julietta S model at
the National Kit Car Motor Show at Stoneleigh on May Day weekend.
Hardly had the dustsheets been removed before crowds gathered
– both fellow exhibitors and the general public. Milan
Mladenovic and his team knew that the technically and stylistically
modified car was something rather special – but were ecstatic
to see how the fans clearly took the Julietta S to their hearts.
There
was much admiration for the fact that the car not attempt to
be a replica of something else but is a car in its own right,
capturing the spirit of an era, encapsulating the essence of
an age when exciting style and performance went hand in hand.
With all the reliability advantages of 21st century engineering
this is truly a machine that gives the best of both worlds –
and goes on giving. The Aquila Julietta S can be built from
a kit in between 80 and 120 hours dependent upon the sense of
urgency with which an owner wants to get it on the road and
unleash the spirit of freedom that is the car’s hidden
component.
